About Us

World Corps India is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that started its work 10 years ago in the fields of Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D), livelihood development, rural development, youth development, training and capacity building.

World Corps India (WCI) is committed to “training people, especially young people to become effective business and social entrepreneurs, community leaders, and global citizens who dedicate their careers to poverty alleviation, environmental protection and global peace building.” World Corps India is currently working on projects and programmes in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Government of Andhra Pradesh

With the support of Government of Andhra Pradesh, World Corps India facilitated setting up of 15 Community Information Centres (CICs) at the 5 Mandal Headquarters of Kuppam Constituency, Chittoor District. Kuppam Constituency comprises of 5 mandals/blocks of Kuppam, Gudupalli, Rama Kuppam, Santhi Puram and Venkatagiri Kota.

The project has trained 25 underserved youth. The CIC’s are functioning well and have started repaying their loans. World Corps India continues to monitor the CICs performance and provide demand-based interventions to the entrepreneurs of the CICs for business sustainability.
